The daughter of immigrants, Sharon joined the movement towards unapologetic educational equity for all, first, as an Assistant to the Vice President of Teach For America's national Teacher Preparation Support and Development team in 2010 and later as a 2013 Teach For America corps member in Washington, DC. In 2016, she completed an Education Innovation Fellowship through a partnership with the CityBridge Foundation and the NewSchools Venture Fund where her interests focused on the implications of student-centered classroom design in blended and self-directed learning classrooms. After completing StartUp Weekend NYC in June 2016, she joined 4.0 Schools as a Wave 2 Tiny Fellow. Concurrently, a full-time literacy teacher, she is excited to launch the Lab47 community.

Veronica, born and raised in El Salvador, moved to Washington, DC when she was 12 years old. She matriculated through primary and secondary public schools as an ESL student and later, after graduating from George Washington University in 2012, became a public school teacher through Teach For America. In 2016, she completed an Education Innovation Fellowship through a partnership with the CityBridge Foundation and the NewSchools Venture Fund where her interests focused on the value of teacher-student mentorship in blended and self-directed learning classrooms. She also joined 4.0 Schools as a Wave 2, Tiny Fellow. A full-time STEM educator, she is excited to share her expertise as a former ESL student and educator with the Lab47 community.
